TALO was shortlisted in the Buildoffsite Innovation Challenge and reached the finals which took place at Offsite Expo.
The focus of this challenge is to highlight pioneering sustainable solutions in offsite construction and groundbreaking innovations that reduce the environmental impact of new housing.
Hosted by industry body, Buildoffsite, this annual competition champions innovation in offsite construction with the wider aim of creating a more sustainable and resilient built environment.
TALO's Director of Corporate Strategy, Dr Anthony Greer presented the case for TALO to a panel of judges at the event in Coventry.
The TALO presentation looked at how our approach extends way beyond the delivery of a highly thermally efficient offsite housing system into procurement, a standardised solution for foundations, and our ground-breaking regional manufacturing model.
Commenting after the event, Anthony said, "We didn't win this time but we agree with the judges that Qube Buildings and their highly sustainable modular approach to manufacturing leisure buildings and garden studios were deserved winners."
"Thank you to BuildOffsite for hosting this competition and congratulations to the winners and other finalists. We were thrilled to reach the finals, which was a significant achievement and endorsement of the innovative work we are doing at TALO."
