TALO Directors Invited to Speak at Offsite Summit in Offsite Construction Week

Two of our Founding Directors – Bengt Magnussen, Commercial Director and Dr Anthony Greer, Corporate Strategy Director – have been invited to speak at the International Offsite Summit, which is co-hosted by Buildoffsite at Offsite Construction Week. 

Industry body Buildoffsite is celebrating its 20th year by hosting the summit at the 2024 Offsite Expo at Coventry Arena on 17 and 18 September. Industry professionals will engage with leading specialists, explore the latest advancements, and foster international collaboration in offsite construction.

The event will be focusing on the technologies and trends that are bringing transformative change to the construction industry. It will be showcasing international offsite construction best practice – including TALO’s timber superstructure system for low rise housing, and explore innovations in sustainable construction that will be critical to meeting net zero carbon targets.

Bengt will be speaking on Day 1 in the International Changemakers Delivering Homes session and Anthony on Day 2 in the Creating a Zero-snag Culture session.

“As we are bringing proven Finnish offsite housebuilding technology to the UK, we have some really interesting insight, experience and perspectives to share at this international summit”, said Bengt.

“With TALO’s Nordic heritage, I will be sharing lessons from Norway and Finland and look at how we are using established Finnish timber-framed offsite technology to deliver our vision to eradicate fuel poverty and help address the housing crisis in the UK.”

“We are also committed to removing snagging from housebuilding and Anthony is keen to share his passion in this area at the event and look at how zero snagging can be achieved, not just with the TALO approach, but more widely through industry transformation.”
